Meetings and TrainingsMeetingsBoston Area Membership Meeting TrainingsIntroduction to Public Policy and Advocacy Promoting the Voice of Consumers (scroll down to view a summary for each meeting/training) MeetingsBoston Area Membership Meeting Homes for Families’ Boston Area Membership Meeting is an opportunity for both parents and shelter/service providers to sit at the same table and discuss the current issues affecting family homelessness in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Greater Boston region. This meeting offers an atmosphere in which attendees can hear about current events, public policy and advocacy and learn from each other by discussing how these impact the lives of families and the work of shelter/service providers. This meeting takes place on the second Wednesday of every month.
Homes for Families’ Worcester Area Membership Meeting is an opportunity for shelter/service providers to discuss issues affecting individual and family homelessness along with public policy and advocacy. This event, which is held in collaboration with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and The Central Massachusetts Housing Alliance, examines issues affecting homelessness in Central Massachusetts and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This meeting takes place on the third Wednesday of every month.
Homes for Families’ public policy committee guides the organization’s advocacy efforts and the formulation of its budget and legislative priorities. This group meets once a month.
