Homes for Families Staff
Libby Hayes, Executive Director
lhayes@homesforfamilies.org
Libby has a degree in social work and joined the movement to end family
homelessness after returning from the Peace Corps in Nicaragua in 2002.
She was a member of HFF's Public Policy Committee and an Advocacy Liaison
while the Executive Director of Crossroads Family Shelter. Libby became
the director of HFF in 2007.
A. Omar Larrama, Operations Manager

Omar Larrama is a business student at the Umass Boston. He holds Associates
Degrees in both Business Management and Business Administration. He is
married with three children. He has been involved with Homes for Families
since 2006, first as a volunteer, then as an intern, and now as a staff
member. He is a graduate of the Public Policy Series and member of the
Advanced Training Group.
Nilaya Montalvo, Community Organizer

Nilaya graduated from the HFF public policy series in 2005 and discovered
her passion for leadership development and ending family homelessness.
Nilaya joined the HFF team in 2006. Her organizing focuses on empowering
and developing the leadership of homeless parents.
Jeff Naylor, Community Organizer

Jeff Naylor came to Homes for Families in October 2007 shortly after receiving
his Masters in Social Work with a focus on community organizing and public
policy. His organizing efforts at HFF focus on providers and on the implementation
of Housing First in Massachusetts. Before coming to HFF, he worked in
Colorado Springs, CO as an Operations Manager of a soup kitchen and as
an employment search worker for homeless men and women.
Diane Sullivan, Policy Advocate

Diane Sullivan experienced homelessness with her family in late 2001.
Before moving out of shelter, Diane accepted a position as an eviction
prevention specialist and set out to save other families like hers from
the indignity and hardships of homelessness. She now is the Public Policy
Advocate with Homes for Families working to change public policy that
addresses family homelessness.
Homes for Families Board
At least 50% of our board of directors have been homeless or at risk
of homelessness. Additional board members all work in the homeless service
field, representing different shelter, housing, and workforce agencies
across Massachusetts.
